From his studio in the heart of north Minneapolis, George Roberts uses antique letterpress printing processes to give voice to his art and poetry. The slower, mechanical nature of setting type by hand, choosing and mixing ink and paper, lends itself to the contemplative way he writes and composes projects. Much of his work reflects on a long-established connection and involvement with the northside community. In this series, he develops a broadside, offering a local perspective on gun violence in his neighborhood.
