Art of Metal and Fire

Becca Cerra’s conceptions are manifested in the intense heat, clashing of metal and physicality of working–and reworking–recalcitrant materials, reaching for sublime transformation and beauty. Her work blends elements of performance art with conceptual metal sculpture. She also creates functional metal art and teaches blacksmith and welding classes at the Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center.
